Room working - Snug

Here, we will look at what happens in one of the room's we set up several years ago. Having clicked on 'The Snug' the page is divided into 3 sections.

From here we can either control lights individually, use a Scene or a Routine (Media centre.)

Here we can control the 'Main light'. The % figures are to allow us to set the light at different brightnesses depending on what we want to do.
The Book shelves are Philips Hue light strips (multi coloured.) In this instance they are off, so the icon is black but from here you can turn them on and change their colour.

Snug - Scene controls
The 'Scenes' section is where we control 3 different lighting presets. Cosy sets the Main light to 25% and a gentle blue glow to the Hue light strips. The Movie setting, turns the main light off and has the Hue strips set a coloured glow. Curtis is very bright with the Main light set to 100% and the Hue bulbs to a white.
So at the click of a button you can set your room to 3 very different light settings that fit with what you want to do at the time.

Here you can turn the media centre (Apple TV in this instance) on or off. By turning it on, the Apple TV comes on, the projector turns on and the lights change to 'Movie'. When you turn it off, the projector turns off, Apple TV turns off and the lights turn off.

The aim here is to give you granular and large scale control in one simple screen. You can either use presets or play with your lights directly.
