Why is the app called openHAB?
I notice on my screen that the app is called openHAB and not Nifty, though it is completely branded Nifty inside the app.
Screen shot showing the openHAB app icon The reason it is called openHAB is that we have used the open source software, openHAB to build our network on. This is because it is an open network with thousands of developers (including us) around the world making it a better, more flexible and open solution able to support multiple devices rapidly and safely. In addition it gives us all access to thousands of ludicrously clever people to ask questions of.
