Firstly, it is important to note that the app is customised for each home, meaning the interface may vary from what is shown in the images. However, we strive to maintain a consistent layout and logic to ensure a familiar experience for all users.
Dashboards
The app includes multiple dashboards, which can be accessed using the menu icon top left.
The names and functions of the dashboards are specific to each property, but the most common ones include Overview, Settings, and Energy. Each is explained in detail below.
Overview Dashboard
The Home page is the first screen you will see, displaying the most frequently used buttons. Typically, lights are positioned at the top, followed by heating controls, and a few scene buttons, such as ‘All Lights Off’ and ‘All Heaters Off.
Lights
Switches
The most common type of light control is a simple on/off switch. These can be displayed in different ways:
This will feature a room icon at the top and the name below. When the light is on, the icon changes colour, for example, the lounge light is on in the image below.

3) Toggle switch pop-up

Dimmers
If your property has dimmable lights, they will be displayed and controlled as shown below.
1) Slider
Tap the circular icon to turn on or touch the bar at your desired level
Slide the bar up or down to set the desired level.

Note that setting the brightness to 50% does not necessarily mean the lights will appear half as bright. This is because the light switches are designed to accommodate various bulb types and quantities, making the percentage an estimate. Over time, you’ll learn the brightness levels that work best for you.
Heating
Introduction
Just like lights, heaters can be controlled in different ways. However, before exploring the controls, it’s helpful to understand how they work—so let’s dive in.
Firstly, all thermostats can be turned on or off. When set to off, the heaters remain off. However, if the thermostat is on, it does not necessarily mean the heaters are running. The heaters will only activate if the thermostat’s set temperature (known as the target temperature) is higher than the room’s current temperature. Once a target temperature is set, the heaters will cycle on and off to maintain the desired level, turning on when the current temperature drops below the target and off when it exceeds it.”
The app displays three possible thermostat states:
idle (off) =
(Heater is IDLE) & (thermostat is OFF) - Everything is OFF and won't come on automatically. Usually set while you are away.
- idle (heat) =
(Heater is IDLE) & (thermostat ON) - Heater is OFF as the set TARGET temperature is BELOW the CURRENT room temperature.
- heating (heat) =
(Heater is HEATING) & (thermostat is ON) - Heater is ON as the set TARGET temperature is ABOVE the CURRENT room temperature.

Simple Heaters (without temperature control)
These heaters are typically found in bathrooms.
They are not temperature-controlled and operate like the basic light switches shown above, simply turning on and off.
Energy
If your property has an energy monitoring device, this page will provide an overview. Typically, it displays data for the entire house as well as any monitored smart devices separately.
Settings Dashboard
At the top of the screen, you’ll find various icons that allow you to adjust settings and access useful information. These icons may vary depending on your installation, but the most common ones are listed below:
