How do I change the touch screen settings?

You can adjust various touchscreen settings in two ways: either through the Home Assistant mobile app or directly on the touchscreen. These settings include display brightness, sleep mode, and screen timeout.

Using the Home Assistant mobile APP

  1. Open the Home Assistant APP on your phone
  2. Click the menu  icon top left and select the "Settings" tab
  3. Click the tablet icon

You will now see a list of options. Some of the most common ones are listed below:

  1. Refresh: Quickly refresh the screen if it’s not displaying correctly.
  2. Restart: Reboots the tablet if it’s unresponsive—this functions the same as manually restarting the device using its power button.
  3. Wake screen with motion: The tablet’s camera detects motion to automatically wake the screen. Use this setting to disable the camera and stop motion detection.
  4. Screen Brightness: Adjusts the screen’s brightness level.
  5. Screen Awake Time: Sets how long the screen remains on after waking. The screen can wake up by tapping or detecting motion (this feature can be enabled or disabled).
  6. Display Options: Toggle the visibility of specific sections on the screen.
