Voice commands

What commands

If you’re unsure which voice commands control your smart home devices, the best place to start is by using the names shown in your app as a guide. Simply begin with the wake word—such as “Alexa” or “Hey Google”—followed by the room name, the device type, and the command.

The general format for voice commands is:

Switch: (Wake word) + (Room) + (Device Type) + (Command)
Thermostat: (Wake word) + Set (Room) + (Device Type) to (0°-30°)

Examples:
  1. “Alexa, turn the kitchen light off.”
  2. “Hey Google, set the lounge heater to 20 degrees.”
  3. “Hey Google, turn the lounge heater OFF”

Common commands:

  1. Lounge lights ON/OFF
  2. Kitchen lights ON/OFF
  3. Kitchen counter ON/OFF
if dimmable:
